Classification of Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Northland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Community Relations Manager for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a local purpose (site for a public hall and library) reserve over the land described in the Schedule with the effect that the land is now Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act 1948.

Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a camping, recreation, traditional food gathering site and marae, to be known as Te Puna Kaihiki Maori Reservation for the common use and benefit of the owners of Kaihiki 1D and their descendants.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator for the Otago Conservancy of the Department of Conservation revokes the reservation as a government purpose reserve for the purpose of the health and disability sector and for related purposes over the land described in the Schedule.

From the date of revocation, the provisions of section 11E (6) of the Health Sector (Transfers) Act 1993 apply to the land.
