Register of Overseas Companies

In accordance with section 360 (1) (b) of the Companies Act 1993, the Registrar of Companies must ensure a Register of Overseas Companies, registered under Part XVIII of the Act, be kept in New Zealand.

The Overseas Register is currently kept in Auckland.

Pursuant to section 360 (3) of the Companies Act 1993, I advise that from the 1st day of September 2002, the Register of Overseas Companies will be kept in Wellington.

Searches of the Register of Overseas Companies can still be undertaken by completing a search request form available from any Companies Office.
