School Road to where it crosses the Makerewa River.
Then down the true left bank of the Makarewa River to
Scott Road then along Jewitt Road and Murchison Road
to State Highway No. 96. Then west along State
Highway No. 96 to Rule Road and via Rule Road, Yorke
Road, south down Rakahouka-Hedgehope Road to
Garvie Road then Mabel-Woodstock Road east
to Woodstock Road and down Horwell Road to the Old
Dunedin Road. Then north-east along Old Dunedin Road
to Downs Road South then via Ota Creek Road to State
Highway No. 1. Then south 1km down State Highway
No. 1 to Coal Pit Road and Coal Pit Road to the corner
of Johnston Road and directly east to the true right bank
of the Mataura River. Now follow the Mataura River
north to the bridge on State Highway No. 1 at Gore and
then State Highway No. 1 to McKinnon Road at McNab.
Then via McKinnon Road, Whiterig Road, Otamita
Road and across the bridge over the Mataura River at
Otamita to State Highway No. 94 then back to
Mandeville at the corner of Waimea Valley Road.
Taringatura
All land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
From the bridge across the Aparima River on the
Mossburn Road (near Affleck Road) at grid reference
(NZMS 260-E44:349807) north along the Mossburn
Road to Affleck Road then east along Castledowns Road
to the Hamilton Burn-Dipton Road then south to where
the road crosses the Dipton Stream. Then down the
Dipton Stream to Lang Road then along Lang Road and
McDonald Road to Breakneck Road. Then directly west
from the corner of Breakneck and MacDonald Roads to
the eastern end of Monamore Road. From there along
Monamore Road to Avondale Road then south down
Avondale Road to the corner of Waikana Road then
directly west to the true right bank of the Aparima River
at reference (NZMS 260-E45:316622) then north to the
Bridge across the Aparima near Affleck Road.\n
Western Southland
All land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
From the summit of the Blackmount-Redcliffe Road
(NZMS 260-D44:971844) then south-west to the Waiau

left bank of the Waiau River to where the Oraurea River
enters (NZMS 260-D45:012428) then directly to the
corner of the Otautau-Tuatapere Road and Gully Road.
Then south-east directly to Bald Hill (NZMS
260-D46:109363), then north-west to the corner of
George Street and the Main Street in Otautau then north
to Leiman Street and to the bridge across the Aparima
River. Now following the true right bank of the
Aparima north to the Aparima Forks at grid reference
(NZMS 260-D44:151919) then directly south-west to
the summit of the Blackmount-Redcliffe Road.
General Information
-
Any animal moved in contravention of this notice may
be seized by an inspector or authorised person and
destroyed, treated or otherwise dealt with, if it is
reasonable in the circumstances to do so. The Animal
Health Board may also recover the cost of testing for
bovine tuberculosis pursuant to the Biosecurity Act 1993
and the Biosecurity (Deer and Other Testing Costs)
Regulations 1998. -
Failure to comply with the requirements of this notice
may result in prosecution under the Biosecurity Act -
If convicted, an individual will be liable to a term
of imprisonment not exceeding 5 years, or a fine not
exceeding $100,000.00, or both. A corporation convicted
of an offence is liable to a fine not exceeding
$200,000.00. -
It is recommended that a person signing a Declaration
Card should retain the card for 3 months following the
date of signing. Any person who receives a Declaration
Card should also retain the card for 3 months or for the
period that the animal is under their control, whichever is
the longer.
Revocation
The declaration issued on 1 November 2000 in regard to
movement controls for bovine tuberculosis and published in
the New Zealand Gazette, 16 November 2000, No. 154,
page 3986, is hereby revoked, with effect from 1 March
2002.
