Defence Force Allowance Amendment 2002
Pursuant to section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister of Social Services and Employment establishes
and approves the following Amendment to the Defence Force Allowance Programme (as established and approved on
29 October 1999).

Amendment
- Title—(1) This is the Defence Force Allowance Amendment 2002.
(2) In this Amendment, the Defence Force Allowance Programme is called “the programme”.

Commencement—This Amendment comes into effect on the day after the date on which it is approved by the Minister.

Interpretation—Clause 2.1 of the programme is amended by inserting, after the definition of NZDF Operational Incidentals Allowance, the following definition:
“PKR means Pakistani rupees”.
- Schedule amended—The Schedule of the programme is amended by adding the following paragraphs:
“16. NZDF personnel deployed in low risk operations in support of ‘Operation Kiwi Stand’ with no environmental factor.
NZ$35.00 per day If deployed to—
(a) Pakistan, an amount of PKR 304.3 per day; or
(b) Afghanistan, an amount of US$7.80 per day.
- NZDF personnel deployed in low risk operations in support of ‘Operation Kiwi Stand’ with environmental factor.
NZ$45.00 per day If deployed to—
(a) Pakistan, an amount of PKR 304.3 per day; or
(b) Afghanistan, an amount of US$7.80 per day.
- NZDF personnel deployed in medium risk operations in support of ‘Operation Kiwi Stand’ with no environmental factor.
NZ$65.00 per day If deployed to—
(a) Pakistan, an amount of PKR 304.3 per day; or
(b) Afghanistan, an amount of US$7.80 per day.
- NZDF personnel deployed in medium risk operations in support of ‘Operation Kiwi Stand’ with environmental factor.
NZ$75.00 per day If deployed to—
(a) Pakistan, an amount of PKR 304.3 per day; or
(b) Afghanistan, an amount of US$7.80 per day.
- NZDF personnel deployed in high risk operations in support of ‘Operation Kiwi Stand’ with no environmental factor.
NZ$100.00 per day If deployed to—
(a) Pakistan, an amount of PKR 304.3 per day; or
(b) Afghanistan, an amount of US$7.80 per day.
- NZDF personnel deployed in high risk operations in support of ‘Operation Kiwi Stand’ with environmental factor.
NZ$110.00 per day If deployed to—
(a) Pakistan, an amount of PKR 304.3 per day; or
(b) Afghanistan, an amount of US$7.80 per day.”
Explanatory Note:
This note is not part of the Amendment, but is intended to explain its general effect.
This amendment to the Defence Force Allowance Programme extends the programme to allow payment of operational and incidental allowances to New Zealand Defence Force personnel serving overseas in operations in support of “Operation Kiwi Stand”.

Notice of Vesting of Property—Section 324 of the Companies Act 1993—Manukau Power Limited
I, Dr Alan Esmond Bollard, Secretary to the Treasury,
hereby give notice that on 15 October 2001, I first
became aware that the Crown was vested under section
324 (1) of the Companies Act 1993 (by virtue of the
removal of Manukau Power Limited from the Register
of Companies on 21 July 2000, pursuant to section 318 of
the Companies Act 1993) with rights as grantee under
memorandum of transfer No. C. 548464.22, North Auckland
Land Registry, which transfer created an electricity
easement in gross over the part marked “U” on Deposited
Plan 156745, registered against certificate of title 94A/927,
North Auckland Land Registry.
