Supplementary Integration Agreements
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that supplementary integration agreements have been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietors of the following schools:
St Joseph’s School, Upper Hutt.
Holy Cross School, Miramar.
St Benedict’s School, Khandallah.
The said supplementary integration agreements were executed on 6 August 2002.
Copies of the supplementary integration agreements are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the regional office of the Ministry of Education, 65 Waterloo Road, Lower Hutt.

Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001
Designation of Auditing Agency
Pursuant to section 32 of the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001 (“the Act”), the Director-General of Health designates New Zealand Council on Healthcare Standards Inc (known as Quality Health New Zealand) (“the auditing agency”) to audit the provision or likely future provision of the following kinds of health care services:
- Hospital Care (as defined in section 4 (1) of the Act)
- Rest Home Care (as defined in section 6 (2) of the Act)
- Residential Disability Care (as defined in section 4 (1) of the Act)
This designation is subject to the following conditions:
- The auditing agency must ensure that where it audits the provision of health care services for people with physical or sensory disabilities, or intellectual disabilities, or psychiatric disabilities or mental illnesses, the auditing agency observes the following:
- For audits involving services for people with physical or sensory disability, respectively, must fully participate in all aspects of the audit.
- For audits involving services for people with intellectual disabilities, a person with an intellectual disability (accompanied by a support person where necessary), or a close family or whanau member of a person with an intellectual disability, must participate in all aspects of the audit.
- For people with psychiatric disabilities or mental illnesses, a past or present consumer of mental health services must fully participate in all aspects of the audit.
- The auditing agency must inform the Ministry of Health immediately by way of written notice if there is any change to their accreditation status with ISQua.
Under section 38 of the Act, this designation will expire three years after the date of this notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
