Before asking Skill New Zealand to help a modern apprentice find employment under section 12 (d) of the Modern Apprenticeship Training Act 2000, co-ordinators should exhaust every available option open to them. This might include making alternative arrangements for the modern apprentice themselves or arranging for another appropriate co-ordinator to find employment for the modern apprentice.
