3.3 There is no limit in all other waters.
4. LENGTH LIMIT
4.1 There is no minimum length limit for sports fish taken in the Wellington Fish and Game region.
4.2 No licence holder shall take or have in his or her possession any trout which exceeds 550 mm in length in the following waters:
- Rangitikei River and its tributaries upstream of the Matawhero Road bridge (commonly called the Mangaohane Bridge);
- Hautapu River upstream of the road bridge numbered 741/10.96 on State Highway 1 by the Taihape Golf Club;
- Waingawa River upstream of the Tararua Forest Park boundary;
- Wainuiomata River downstream of the main township bridge.
- Upper Kourarau Dam
4.3 No licence holder shall take or have in his or her possession any trout which exceeds 450 mm in length in the following waters:
- Akatarawa River
- Hutt River
- Pakuratahi River
- Pourangaki River
- Tokomaru River
- Whakatikei River
5. AUTHORISED TACKLE, LURES AND BAIT
5.1 Authorised tackle (in addition to clause 2.1 of the First Schedule)
Licence holders may, when fishing for perch or tench, use a rod and line.
5.2 Authorised lures and baits (in addition to clause 7 of the First Schedule)
Licence holders may, when fishing for perch or tench, use corn or cereal baits.
