5.6 The Hopuruahine and Mokau Streams and their tributaries and within a 200m
radius of their river mouth landmarks in Lake Waikaremoana, and the
Aniwaniwa, and Korokoro Streams and their tributaries above the Aniwaniwa
and Korokoro Falls.
5.7 Within 200m radius of the Ngawhakairara Stream mouth in Lake Waikareiti.
5.8 The Tarawera River from Lake Tarawera (excluding the trout spawning
sanctuary) to the Tarawera Falls;
5.9 The Horomanga River and tributaries;
5.10 The Ruakituri and Hangaroa Rivers (including their tributaries) upstream from
the base of the Te Reinga Falls;
5.11 The Wharekopae River;
5.12 The Waioeka River and Opato Stream (including tributaries) upstream from
their confluence;
5.13 Lakes Whakamarino and Kaitawa (including all inflowing streams);
5.14 The Waimapu Stream above the waterfall 1 km east of the Oropi Road -
Hereford Road junction.
- BAIT FISHING WATERS
No licence holder shall use any bait except for natural fly, natural insect or
natural crustacean (excluding koura) in any waters of the Eastern Fish and
Game Region.
- USE OF BOATS
7.1 No licence holder shall fish for trout from a boat in the following waters;
a) the Tarawera River from its outlet from Lake Tarawera to the Tarawera
Falls situated approximately 2500 metres downstream;
b) that section of the Tarawera Outlet enclosed by landmarks;
c) the Ohau Channel and the area within 200m of the channel mouth in Lake
Rotorua,
d) the area within a radius of 15m of the Wairua Stream mouth,
e) the designated winter shoreline-fishing areas on Lakes Tarawera, Rotoiti
and Okataina (Schedule 2 Clause 2) from July 1 to September 30.
7.2 No licence holder shall fish for trout from any unanchored boat,
a) in waters that, at any time of the year, are reserved for artificial fly fishing,
b) in waters that are within a 200 metre radius around the centre of the
Utuhina and Ngongotaha Stream mouths,
c) in waters that are within the section of Rangiuru Bay defined by landmarks
at Sioney Point and Kariri Point and extending 200m offshore,
d) boats should be securely anchored with no more than two anchors.
