The Sydenham Money Club Bill

Notice of Intention to Apply for Leave to Introduce a Private Bill

Take notice that The Sydenham Money Club (“the club”), a body registered under the Friendly Societies and Credit Unions Act 1982, intends to promote a Private Bill.

The objects of the Bill are to:

  • Place a scheme before the members of the club for conversion of the club into a building society, that scheme to include the allocation to members of rights to shares in the building society;
  • Ensure continuity of the rights and obligations of the club when converted into a building society;
  • Allow exemptions from certain procedural requirements of the Building Societies Act 1965 to facilitate the conversion of the club into a building society.

The promoter of the Bill is The Sydenham Money Club.

A copy of the Bill may be inspected during office hours, in accordance with Appendix B to the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives at the District Court, 282 Durham Street, Christchurch.

New Zealand Stock Exchange Restructuring Bill

Notice of Intention to Promote a Private Bill

The New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZSE) gives notice that it intends to promote a Private Bill, the New Zealand Stock Exchange Restructuring Bill (“the Bill”), by petitioning the House of Representatives (“the House”) that the Bill be introduced into the House.

The objects of the Bill are to:

  • Enable the determination of the qualifying members’ ownership entitlements in the NZSE;
  • Provide a mechanism for the conversion of the NZSE into a company, if the NZSE members so determine; and
  • Enable the NZSE members to determine whether all the property, rights and liabilities of the NZSE will vest on the restructuring day in the company or a named wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

The promoter of the Bill is the NZSE.

The address to which communications about the Bill may be sent is the New Zealand Stock Exchange, P.O. Box 2959, Wellington (Attention: Philippe Leloir).

A copy of the Bill may be inspected during office hours, in accordance with clause 7 of Appendix B to the Standing Orders of the House, at the District Court, 43-49 Ballance Street, Wellington.

A copy of the Bill is also available for inspection at the offices of the solicitors to the promoter, Chapman Tripp Sheffield Young, Sixth Floor, 1-13 Grey Street, Wellington.

Animal Remedies Act 1967

Licences Issued and Revoked Under the Animal Remedies Act 1967 (Notice No. 1182; Ag. 154)

Pursuant to section 21 (6) of the Animal Remedies Act 1967, the Registrar of the Animal Remedies Board hereby gives notice that the licences listed in Schedules I, II and III have been issued as follows:

  1. The licences for remedies listed in Schedule I are new licences issued.
  2. The licences for remedies listed in Schedule II are new licences issued which have been declared to be Prescription Animal Remedies Class I and may be administered to an animal only
    (i) By a veterinary surgeon; or
    (ii) Under and in accordance with the authority or prescription of a veterinary surgeon.
