To: Airwork (NZ) Limited.

Only with respect to: 2 Fairchild Metro 23 SA227-CC
aircraft, registrations ZK-POE and ZK-POF operated in
full cargo configuration.

From the requirement in: Civil Aviation Rule 91.215 (b) (2)
that each operator who carries cargo in an aircraft shall
ensure that the cargo is not located in a position that
restricts the access to or use of any required emergency
exit, or the use of the aisle between the crew and the
passenger compartments.

This exemption shall remain in effect until 31 October 2001
unless withdrawn earlier in writing by the Director.

Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions is
also published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register
Information Leaflet (CARRIL).

The CARRIL is generally published on the first Thursday of
each month. It is available on the CAA web site
www.caa.govt.nz

Exemption files may also be viewed on prior request to the
Rules Registrar at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority,

Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998

Notice of Exemption—Newmarket Newzealand Limited and its subsidiary Auckland One Limited

The commission, pursuant to section 81 of the Electricity
Industry Reform Act 1998, exempts Newmarket
Newzealand Limited and its subsidiary Auckland One
Limited from the application of section 17 of that Act in
relation to prohibited cross-involvements in an electricity
lines business and an electricity supply business.

The exemption is subject to the following terms and
conditions:

(a) That Newmarket Newzealand Limited and Auckland
One Limited shall not introduce a charge to any
consumer they supply with electricity, for the use of
or related to any electricity lines business that
Newmarket Newzealand Limited or Auckland One
Limited own or operate.

(b) That Newmarket Newzealand Limited and Auckland
One Limited shall not prevent the access to their
electricity lines, on reasonable terms and within a
reasonable time, that any electricity supply business
may require to supply electricity to any consumer
connected to such lines.

(c) That Newmarket Newzealand Limited and Auckland
One Limited shall not enforce any clause in any
lease or other agreement with their tenants which
requires a tenant to be supplied with electricity by
Newmarket Newzealand Limited and Auckland One
Limited, so that any tenant shall be free to choose
that tenant’s electricity supplier.

(d) That Newmarket Newzealand Limited and Auckland
One Limited will use their best endeavours to
provide such reasonable information that any tenant
taking a supply of electricity from Newmarket
Newzealand Limited or Auckland One Limited may
request to enable that tenant to access competitive
options available to it for the supply of electricity.

(e) That Newmarket Newzealand Limited and Auckland
One Limited do not generate electricity.

The commission may vary or revoke this exemption in
accordance with section 81 (5) of the Electricity Industry
Reform Act.

The exemption takes effect from the date of publication of
this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Act 1996

Notice of Appointment of Protection Officer
Under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines
Protection Act 1996

Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport
Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate those
powers under section 16 of the Submarine Cables and
Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Maritime Safety
Authority by an Instrument of Delegation dated 19 March
1997.

And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime
Transport Act 1994, the Maritime Safety Authority did
delegate those powers under section 16 of the Submarine
Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director
of Maritime Safety by an Instrument of Delegation dated
26 March 1997.\n
Therefore, I, Russell Paul Kilvington, Director of Maritime
Safety, hereby appoint:

John Derek Maas-Geesteranus of Auckland

as a Protection Officer for the purposes of the Submarine
Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996.

This notice comes into effect on and from 12 July 2001.
