Under section 72 (3) of the Employment Relations Act 2000, the Minister of Labour has delegated the power to approve courses for Employment Relations Education Leave to the Employment Relations Education Advisory Committee.

Work Start Grant Amendment 2001
Pursuant to section 124 (1) (d) of the Social Security Act 1964, the Minister of Social Services and Employment establishes and approves the following Amendment to the Work Start Grant Programme (as established and approved on 29 June 1999).

Amendment
- Title—(1) This is the Work Start Grant Amendment 2001.
(2) In this Amendment, the Work Start Grant programme is called “the programme”.

Commencement—This Amendment comes into effect on 1 July 2001.

Interpretation—(1) Clause 2.1 of the programme is amended by inserting in their appropriate alphabetical order the following definitions:
“client means a person of or over the age of 16 years who—
(a) is seeking work; and
(b) interacts with the Department as—
(i) a Beneficiary whose principal source of income is a Benefit under the Act; or
(ii) a Job Seeker”
