Principal Environment Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 5 of the District Courts Act 1947, and sections 250 and 251 of the Resource Management Act 1991, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Joan Edra Sterling Allin, barrister and solicitor of Wellington

to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, to be an Environment Judge and to be the Principal Environment Judge.

Māori Land Court Sittings—Māori Appellate Court Sittings 2001

Notice is hereby given that sittings of the Māori Land Court and Māori Appellate Court will be held during the year 1 January 2001 to 31 December 2001 at the places and commencing on the dates referred to in the Schedule hereto.

The hour of commencement of each sitting (and the date and place thereof in the case of the Māori Appellate Court) will be notified in the relevant Panui.

If any date referred to in the Schedule is varied, the varied date will be notified in the Panui.

Special fixtures may be arranged in accordance with the provisions of Rule 11 of the Māori Land Court Rules 1994.
