The Waikato Polytechnic: Change of Name

Pursuant to section 162 (5) of the Education Act 1989, and following a recommendation from the Council of The Waikato Polytechnic, I hereby change the name of that institution to

Waikato Institute of Technology.

This notice shall come into force on 1 June 2001.

The Burnside High School Board of Trustees Election Validation Notice

Pursuant to clause 9 (1) of the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act 1989, and acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education, I hereby validate the election for parent representatives for the Board of Trustees of Burnside High School held on 30 March 2001, on the grounds that although an irregularity occurred in the election process it did not materially affect the result of the election.

This notice takes effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
