Reserves Act 1977

Cancellation of the Vesting in the Franklin District
Council and Revocation of the Reservation
Over a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Auckland Conservator
of the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation cancels the vesting in the Franklin District
Council and revokes the reservation as a local purpose
(site for a public hall) reserve described in the Schedule.

Classification of Gordon Spratt Reserve and
Exchange of Alice Johnson Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977 and Local Government
Act 1974, and to a delegation from the Minister of
Conservation, the Tauranga District Council declares:

(a) That, pursuant to section 16 (2A) of the Reserves
Act 1977, the council, on 3 July 2000, approved the
classification of the land described in the First Schedule, the
Gordon Spratt Reserve, as recreation reserve, subject to the
provisions of the Reserves Act.

(b) That, pursuant to section 230 of the Local
Government Act 1974, and pursuant to section 15 of the
Reserves Act 1977, the council, on 1 May 2000, resolved to
exchange 9500 square metres of the Alice Johnson Reserve,
Parton Road, Papamoa, as described in the Second
Schedule, for 9500 square metres of an adjoining property at
Tara Road, Papamoa, as described in the Third Schedule.
