Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation
Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of a summary of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.
Schedule
01/EXE/46—Pionair Adventures Limited.
On: 12 April 2001.
To: Pionair Adventures Limited, being the holder of a New Zealand aircraft registration certificate.
With respect to: DC3 aircraft, registration ZK-AMS.
From the requirement in: Civil Aviation Rule 47.101 (a) that the aircraft bear a registration mark in the manner and in accordance with the specifications prescribed in 47.109 to 47.117 inclusive.
The exemption is granted for photographic purposes while filming the feature film Superfire at Tokoroa.
This exemption shall remain in effect from 18 April 2001 to 5 May 2001 inclusive unless withdrawn in writing by the Director.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990
Pursuant to Regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Paul Patrick Chapman, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within Regulations 13 (3) (a) and 13 (4) of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2.

Conditions
(i) The service brake shall incorporate a dual brake system from the service brake foot valve (brake pedal) to the road wheels;
(ii) The parking brake must be capable of holding the fully laden vehicle while facing both up or down hill on a gradient of 1 in 5 for an indefinite period of time under all conditions of loading;
(iii) Prospective vehicle owners must be fully informed of this notice and the conditions contained within it;
(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time;
(v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.
