  1. Interest rates on investment agencies—The rate of
    interest that may be paid by the Public Trustee on moneys
    invested by the Public Trustee as agent of any principal in
    the common fund of the Public Trust Office (referred to in
    this notice as “agencies”) pursuant to section 37 of the
    Public Trust Office Act 1957 shall, for the following terms
    and inclusive dollar ranges, be:
Term and (where applicable) Dollar Range % interest rate p.a.
(a) At call 4.25

(b) For a fixed term of 3 months:
(i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.30
(ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.35
(iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.40
(iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.40

(c) For a fixed term of 6 months:
(i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.20
(ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.25
(iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.30
(iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.30

(d) For a fixed term of 9 months:
(i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.15
(ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.20
(iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.25
(iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.25

(e) For a fixed term of 12 months:
(i) For the range $5,000 to $9,999 | 5.10
(ii) For the range $10,000 to $49,999 | 5.15
(iii) For the range $50,000 to $249,999 | 5.20
(iv) For the range above $249,999 | 5.20

  1. Transitional provisions—(1) Paragraph 2 of this notice
    shall not apply to any interest payable in respect of the
    period that ends with 25 April 2001.

(2) Paragraph 2 (a) of this notice shall apply:
(i) to agencies that commenced prior to 26 April 2001,
as from that date;
(ii) to agencies that commenced on or after 26 April
2001, as from the date of their commencement.

(3) Paragraphs 2 (b) to 2 (e) inclusive of this notice:
(i) shall not apply to agencies that commenced prior
to 26 April 2001; but
(ii) shall apply to agencies that commence on or
after 26 April 2001, as from the date of their
commencement.

  1. Revocation—The Public Trust Office (Investment
    Agencies in Common Fund) Notice 5 April 2001,
    New Zealand Gazette, page 828, is hereby revoked.

Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation,
I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst–Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directives in
respect of aircraft or aeronautical products:

Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974

Certification of Attachments for Logging Bolsters

on Trucks and Trailers Used for the Transport of Logs

Pursuant to Regulation 16A (1) (f) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1974, and pursuant to powers
sub-delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety, I, Peter Waring, Principal Engineer, hereby
determine that certification of the design, manufacture and installation of bolster attachments on trucks and trailers used
for the transport of logs is required for new vehicles and for existing vehicles being equipped with bolsters for the first
time, in compliance with the revised Bolster Attachment Code of Practice specified in Schedule 1, from the date
specified in Schedule 2. This notice replaces the requirements for bolster attachment certification for new
logging trucks and trailers published in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 May 1999.
