Nurses Act 1977
Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session in Respect of an Enrolled Nurse
After due inquiry and in exercise of its powers under section 41 (1) (b), 42 (2) (b) (a), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand (“the council”) in a decision dated 21 February 2001, ordered that Paul Desmond Breeze practise under certain conditions for a period of 2 years from the date when he recommences working as an enrolled nurse including practising under the supervision of a registered nurse.
The council also ordered that he pay $15,800.00 (being 50%) towards the actual costs and expenses of and incidental to the investigation and prosecution by the Preliminary Proceedings Committee and inquiry by the council; and ordered that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Kai Tiaki: Nursing New Zealand, the PSA Journal and the Nursing Council’s newsletter.
