Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notice of Intention to Consider Varying a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87J (3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990,
section 41 (1) of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation
from the Secretary for Transport dated 29 March 2000, I
give notice that having received an application from Air
New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport intends to
consider varying the Scheduled International Air Service
Licence held by that airline in order that it may provide
capacity between New Zealand and Tonga of the equivalent
of up to 2.5 return B767 services per week or, subject to
agreement between the designated airlines of New Zealand
and Tonga, capacity of up to the equivalent of 5.0 return
B767 services per week.

Any person or organisation wishing to make representations
relating to this application must forward those representations
in writing to reach me at the Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box
3175, Wellington, on or before 3 May 2001.
