Awarua School

Acting under delegated authority, pursuant to section 109 (7B) of the Education Act 1989, I am satisfied that it is in the best interests of Awarua School that the election of its board should be postponed and that the current commissioner’s term of office should be extended.

I set 21 September 2001 as the date of the election for a new board of trustees.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 27 May 1992, which was granted under those regulations to Hine Hanara and Tipene Manihera on behalf of the whanau of Te Reo Tuatahu Te Kohanga Reo, in respect of Te Reo Tuatahu Te Kohanga Reo (70162), situated at 24 Ventnor Crescent, Aranui, Christchurch.
