Canada Goose hunting is restricted to the following areas:

Within 20 kilometre radius of Porangahau.
From Kuripapango north of the Napier Taihape Road and west of the Ngaruroro River.

Shooting Hours

6.15 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

Decoy Limit

No limit.

Special Condition

It shall be an offence for any person to wilfully leave on the hunting ground the bodies or parts of Black Swan or other game shot in this region.

Camouflaged Rowboats

Persons¹¹ may hunt or kill game within the Hawkes Bay Region, from unmoored camouflaged rowboats, except for opening weekend.
