Pipfruit Growers New Zealand Incorporated

The Commodity Levies (Pipfruit) Order 2000

The levy rate for the period 1 February 2001 to
31 October 2001, as passed at Pipfruit Growers
New Zealand Incorporated’s Forum meeting held on
1 February 2001, is 1.0 cent per kilogram (plus G.S.T.).

The levy is applicable to all fresh fruit exported or sold
locally, including gate sales. Processed fruit does not incur
a levy.

The levy is payable by pipfruit growers who sell
1000 kilograms or more of fresh apples and/or European
pears in the period 1 February 2001 to 31 October 2001.

The company or individual who exports or first sells the
fruit is required to deduct the levy and forward payment to
Pipfruit Growers New Zealand Incorporated within 90 days
of sale or export.

A detailed information pack was sent on 14 March 2001 to
all growers, exporters and local market traders.

If you have not received a pack and believe that you may be
responsible for collection of the levy, or may be required to
pay the levy, please contact Pipfruit Growers New Zealand
Incorporated.

The deadline for these notices will be 12.00 midday on Thursday, the 12th day of April 2001, due to the observance of Good Friday on the 13th day of April 2001 and Easter Monday on the 16th day of April 2001.

All other notices must be lodged at the New Zealand Gazette office by 12.00 midday on Tuesday, the 17th day of April 2001.
