Notice of Vacancy in Seat in the House of Representatives

MICHAEL HARDIE BOYS, Governor-General

Pursuant to sections 134 (1) and 135 of the Electoral Act 1993, I, The Right Honourable Sir Michael Hardie Boys, Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby give notice that Simon Upton has resigned his seat in the House of Representatives with effect from Thursday, 11 January 2001, and that the said seat is vacant by reason of that resignation.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 12th day of January 2001.
