Extension of Term of Office of Commissioner—

Waiwhetu School

Acting under delegated authority, pursuant to section
109 (7B) of the Education Act 1989, I am satisfied that it is
in the best interests of Waiwhetu School that the election of
its board should be postponed and that the current
commissioner’s term of office should be extended.

I set 30 November 2001 as the date of the election for a new
board of trustees.

Private Schools Conditional Integration

Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional
Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary
integration agreement has been signed between the Minister
of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting
through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry
of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the
proprietor of the following school:

Francis Douglas Memorial College, New Plymouth.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed
on 12 March 2001.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is
available for inspection without charge by any member of
the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education,
116 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.

Kingslea School Board of Trustees Notice 2001

Pursuant to section 95 of the Education Act 1989, I publish
the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Kingslea School Board
    of Trustees Notice 2001. This notice shall take effect on the
    day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. The Kingslea School Board of Trustees shall be
    constituted as follows:

  • Up to two members, including a tangata whenua-Kai
    Tahu representative, appointed by the Department of
    Child, Youth and Family Services;

  • Up to two members, one or both of whom would be a
    person with expertise in effective education
    interventions for young people with challenging
    behaviours, appointed by the Manager Student
    Support, Ministry of Education, Southern Region;

  • Two Kingslea School staff members, one the head
    teacher/principal and the other an elected staff
    representative; and

  • Up to two members may be co-opted by the board
    taking into account the competencies and skills
    necessary for an effective board.

  1. The “Kingslea School Board of Trustees Notice 1995”
    published in the New Zealand Gazette of June 1995 at page
    1357, is hereby revoked.

Antarctic Marine Living Resources Act 1981

Permits Authorising the Taking of Marine

Resources Within the Waters to Which the
Convention on the Conservation of Antarctic
Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) Applies

Pursuant to section 5 of the Antarctic Marine Living
Resources Act 1981, the Minister of Fisheries gives the
following notice.

Notice

I have authorised the following persons to take marine
resources within the CCAMLR Statistical Sub-area 88.1,
subject to certain conditions as detailed in each individual
permit:

  • Nigel Jolly (in respect of the vessel RV Braveheart).
  • John McKoy (in respect of the vessel RV Tangaroa).

The permit in respect of the RV Braveheart is valid from date
of issue until 16 April 2001.

The permit in respect of the RV Tangaroa is valid from date
of issue until 1 May 2001.

Dated at Wellington this 1st day of March 2001.
