Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise Proceeds of Sale
Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from
the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations
Manager revokes the reservation over part of the local
purpose (esplanade) reserve described in the Schedule
hereto and declares that the land may be disposed of by the
New Plymouth District Council in such manner, at a price
and on terms and conditions as the council determines, the
proceeds from sale to be paid into the council’s reserves
account, such money to be used and applied in or toward the
improvement of other reserves under the control of the
council or in or towards the purchase of other land for
reserves.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Becomes a Reserve
Under section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the
Conservator of the East Coast Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of
the Department of Conservation declares that the land
described in the Schedule is held for conservation purposes
and, under section 8 (1A) of the Act, the conservator further
declares that the conservation area be set apart as a reserve,
subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local
purpose (cemetery) reserve subject to the provisions of the
latter Act.

Change of Classification of Part of a Reserve
Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservator of the
East Coast Hawke’s Bay Conservancy of the Department of
Conservation changes the classification of that part of the
reserve described in the Schedule from a reserve for
recreation purposes to a local purpose (cemetery) reserve
subject to the provisions of the Act.
