New locality, approximately 8km north east of Saint Arnaud, along State Highway No. 63. Topographic map N29, Saint Arnaud, GR 2504300E 5937000N. Not named on current mapping.

Dorreen Creek

Stream located approximately 8km north east of Arthur’s Pass, flowing from Mount Stuart into the Deception River. Topographic map K33, Otira, GR 2396000E 5813500N. Currently named Doreen Creek.

Canterbury Land District

Eyrewell

New locality, situated between the Waimakariri and Eyre Rivers, bounded to the west by Wrights, Coffey and Wolffs Roads and to the east by Two Chain Road and including Eyrewell Forest. The current localities of The Warren, Cust, West Eyreton and Eyreton surround it. Topographic map L35, Waimakariri, GR 2448000E 5754000N and M35, Christchurch, GR 2457000E 5756000N. Not named on current mapping.

Gamack Range

Range of mountains lying between the Murchison and Godley Rivers, north of Lake Tekapo, and extending generally southwards from Jollie Peak on the Liebig Range to Mount Stevenson. Topographic map I36, Godley, GR 2294000E 5717000N and I37, Lake Tekapo, GR 2292000E 5708000N. Currently named Gammack Range by New Zealand Gazette 1971, page 259.

Mountain at height 1860m, centred between Otematata, Oamaru and Ranfurly. Topographic map 260 I40, Kurow, GR 2303720E 5591110N. Currently named Little Domet. Trig station “C Little Domet” (not beaconed) is located on this mountain.

Horomamae/Owen Island

Confirmed dual name for an island near the mouth of the Lords River/Tūtaekawetoweto, Stewart Island/Rakiura. Topographic map 260 E49, Port Adventure, GR 2142000E 5331850N. Horomamae Island (Owen) currently shown on mapping and official by New Zealand Gazette 1998, page 78.

Confirmed name for an island within the Boat Group of the Muttonbird (Titi) Islands, south west of Stewart Island/Rakiura. Topographic map 260 C49 & D49, Mount Allen, GR 2096500E 5329500N. Currently shown as Kundy Island on mapping. Also known as Kanu Island and First Island.

Confirmed dual name for an island in the Muttonbird (Titi) Islands, south west of Stewart Island/Rakiura. Topographic map 260 C49 & D49, Mount Allen, GR 2086300E 5326500N. Mokoiti Island (Little Moggy) currently shown on mapping. Mokiiti Island official by New Zealand Gazette 1948, page 939; then changed to Mokoiti Island by New Zealand Gazette 1962, page 2021; then Little Moggy added as the alternative name by New Zealand Gazette 1966, page 18; and then Mokoiti Island (Little Moggy) became official by New Zealand Gazette 1998, page 78.
