Change of Name—Te Tai Poutini Polytechnic

Pursuant to section 162 (5) of the Education Act 1989, and following a recommendation from the Council of Te Tai Poutini Polytechnic, I hereby change the name of that institution to

Tai Poutini Polytechnic.

This notice shall come into force on 1 March 2001.

Education Act 1989

Amendment to the Constitution of Council of Te Tai Poutini Polytechnic

Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989, the Associate Minister for Education (Tertiary Education) hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Constitution of the Te Tai Poutini Polytechnic Amendment Notice 2001, which shall be read together with and deemed part of Te Tai Poutini Polytechnic Notice 1990 (“the principal notice”)*.
  2. This notice shall come into force on 1 March 2001.
  3. The principal notice is hereby amended by omitting clause 4 and substituting the following clause:

“4. The term office of members of the council, vacation of office, disclosure of members’ interest and casual vacancies are covered in sections 173-176 of the Education Amendment Act 1990.

Subject to section 173, the maximum term for any member, other than the Chief Executive Officer, shall be 3 consecutive 4-year terms.”
