Under section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that the land described in the Schedule, including the beds of the rivers and streams, is held for conservation purposes.

THE RIGHT HON HELEN CLARK PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by section 4 of the Deeds Registration Act 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General, by Order in Council, may from time to time alter the boundaries of any registration district and create new registration districts.
AND WHEREAS it is desirable to create the Hamilton Deeds Registration District comprising the former Taranaki and South Auckland Deeds Registration Districts.
