Registration of a Company as a Registered Operator—Edge2net New Zealand Limited
In accordance with Regulation 5 (1) of the Telecommunications (International Services) Regulations 1994 (“the regulations”), I, David Winston King, Manager Telecommunications and Postal Policy, Resources and
Networks Branch, Ministry of Economic Development, hereby give notice that, acting under delegated authority, I have registered the company named in the Schedule to this notice as a registered operator for the purposes of the regulations on the date shown in that Schedule.

Education Act 1989
Amendment to the Constitution of Council of Manukau Institute of Technology
Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989, the Associate Minister of Education (Tertiary Education) hereby gives the following notice.
Notice
- This notice may be cited as the Manukau Institute of Technology Notice 2001.
This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
- The constitution of the Council for the Manukau Institute of Technology shall be as follows:
(a) Four members appointed by the Minister of Education.
(b) The Chief Executive of Manukau Institute of Technology.
(c) One member who shall be a permanent member of the academic staff of Manukau Institute of Technology and who shall be elected by the permanent members of that staff.
(d) One member who shall be a permanent member of the general staff of Manukau Institute of Technology and who shall be elected by the permanent members of that staff.
(e) One member who is or has been a student of Manukau Institute of Technology and who shall be elected by the students at Manukau Institute of Technology.
(f) One member appointed after consultation with the Chief Executive of the Employers and Manufacturers Association (Northern) Incorporated.
(g) One member appointed after consultation with the Secretary of the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions.
(h) One member appointed after consultation with the Mayor of Manukau City.
(i) One member appointed after consultation with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland.
(j) One member appointed after consultation with the Chairperson of the Counties Manukau Secondary Schools’ Principals’ Association.
(k) One member appointed after consultation with the Tangata Whenua.
(l) One member appointed to the role of Te Amorangi of Manukau Institute of Technology.

The council may co-opt 2 further members.

The maximum number of occasions on which a person may be appointed, elected or co-opted as a member of the council shall be 3 consecutive 4 year terms, except for members who were initially appointed for 2 years, who may be appointed for a maximum of 3 consecutive 4 year terms in addition to their initial term of 2 years.

Any term that a member has held office since 1 January 1991 shall be counted towards the maximum number of years that is permitted under clause 4 of this notice.

The Manukau Institute of Technology Notice 1996 appearing in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 December 1996, No. 180, page 4724, is hereby revoked.

Education (School Trustee Elections) Regulations 2000
School Trustee Elections
Pursuant to Regulation 18 of the Education (School Trustee Elections) Regulations 2000, the Secretary of Education hereby approves the following nomination forms and voting papers for use in the circumstances specified in this notice:

Nomination form for use in all elections except those specified in clause 4 below.

Māori translation of the nomination form described in clause 1 above.

Samoan translation of the nomination form described in clause 1 above.

Nomination form for use in 2001 if establishing a pattern of staggered elections.

Voting paper for the election of parent representatives on a standard board in all elections except those specified in clause 6 below.

Voting paper for the election of parent representatives on a standard board for use in 2001, if establishing a pattern of staggered elections.

Voting paper for the election of parent representatives for a combined board which administers more than one school.
-
Voting paper for the election of a staff or student representative.
