Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989
Māori Land Development Notice
Pursuant to sections 21 and 66 (5) of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Māori Development hereby gives notice as follows.
Notice

This notice may be cited as Māori Land Development Notice, Wanganui 2001, No. 5.

The notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto are, in relation only to the piece of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, hereby revoked.

The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from the provisions of Part II of the Māori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.
-
The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is also released from being declared a water area.

Public Works Act 1981
Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road—
Adjoining State Highway No. 2, Adjacent to Powdrell Road
Notice is hereby given that the Crown, under the provisions of section 23 of the Public Works Act 1981, proposes to take the land described in the Schedule hereto (“the land”).
The land is required for road and it is intended to use the land to form part of State Highway No. 2.
The intended taking is considered reasonably necessary for the safe and convenient use of the road.
The land is sandwiched between the State highway and the railway line and affecting the land is unavoidable.
The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Crown’s intention to take their land and their right to object.
Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, Tribunals Division, Department for Courts, P.O. Box 5027, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.
If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be heard with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.
