[4] Standard 1.5.3 is varied by omitting the Table to clause 4, substituting –

Maximum: 6 kGy | Food may only be irradiated for the purposes of controlling sprouting and pest disinfestation, including control of weeds.
The minimum dose to achieve the above technological purposes.
Food must be handled before and after irradiation according to good manufacturing practice (GMP). |

The deadline for these notices will be 12.00 midday on Friday, the 19th day of October 2001, due to the observance of Labour Day on Monday, the 22nd day of October 2001.
All other notices must be lodged at the New Zealand Gazette office by 12.00 midday on Tuesday, the 23rd day of October 2001.
