Dental Technicians (Fees) Notice 2001

Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Dental Technicians (Fees) Notice 2001 and shall come into force on 1 April 2001.

Fees—Pursuant to section 79A of the Dental Act 1988, as amended by the Dental Amendment Act 1999, the Dental Technicians Board sets the fees payable to the Board specified in the Schedule to this notice.

Fees inclusive of Goods and Services Tax—The fees are inclusive of goods and services tax.
Schedule
Fees Payable
(a) Application for registration under this Act
(i) as a Dental Technician, New Zealand qualified $120.00
(ii) as a Clinical Dental Technician $120.00
(iii) as a Dental Technician by an overseas qualified Dental Technician $200.00
(b) Addition or alteration to the Register Nil
(c) The issue of an annual practising certificate $385.00
(d) The issue of any other certificate, or a copy of any certificate $55.00
(e) The supply of a copy of any entry in the Register $20.00
(f) Inspection of the Register or of any other documents kept by the Board that are open for inspection Nil
(g) The supply to any practitioner of any documents, other than certificates of registration, required by him or her for the purposes of seeking registration overseas $50.00
(h) Examinations set or approved by the Board
(i) Overseas examination $1250.00
(ii) Overseas examination, resit practical only $900.00
(iii) Overseas examination, resit theory and viva voce only $450.00
(i) Supply copy of Register (each) $35.00
All fees are unchanged, with the exception of (h)(iii) which sets the fee for resitting the practical examination for overseas qualified dental technicians. This was not previously provided for.

Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975
State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986
This notice concerns land at 88 Pilkington Road, Panmure, Auckland, and Māori claims under the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975.
The land at 88 Pilkington Road, Panmure, Auckland, is described in legal terms as all that parcel of land containing 1338 square metres, more or less, being Allotment 35, Section 3, Small Lots near the Village of Panmure and being part Block II, Otahuhu Survey District and being all the land comprised and described in certificate of title 87A/205 (North Auckland Registry).
The land was once owned by the Crown.
It was transferred to a State-Owned Enterprise under the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986.
There is a special notice or “memorial” on the certificate of title for the land which provides that, if the Waitangi Tribunal recommends it, the land shall be resumed by the Crown and returned to Māori ownership (see sections 27A and 27B of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986).
The current owners of the land, ROBERT VERNON MURRAY, BRUCE REGINALD SIMPSON and JOHN LUTHER MURRAY, have applied to the Waitangi Tribunal to have this notice removed.
The application has been made under section 8D of the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975.
ANY MĀORI PERSON WHO CONSIDERS THAT THEY, OR ANY GROUP WHICH THEY BELONG TO, HAS A CLAIM TO MAKE TO THE WAITANGI TRIBUNAL
