Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of a landing place and scenic reserve for the common use and benefit of the owners of Te Whaiti Nui A Toi and their descendants.

Setting Apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the Māori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of an urupa, to be known as Kapehu urupa for the common use and benefit of the descendants of the original people who came to Kapehu from Ahipara and Whautuwhiwhi in the early 1800s under the mana of Nepia Te Morenga.

Notice Redefining the Purposes of a Māori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338 (5) (c) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the purposes for which the Māori reservation in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto, were redefined by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 2 December 1976, No. 122, page 2729, are hereby redefined for the purposes of marae, papakainga, burial grounds known as Ringaiti and school grounds for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Tahinga tribe.
