New Zealand Food Standard 1996, Amendment No. 18

Section 11G of the Food Act 1981

Amendment No. 18 to the New Zealand Food Standard 1996 was issued by the Minister of Health on the 27th day of June 2000.

Amendment No. 18 incorporates changes made by Amendments 48 and 49 to the Australian Food Standards Code (ASFC) into the New Zealand Food Standard 1996.

The Australia New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) gazetted Amendment No. 48 in Australia and New Zealand on 27 April 2000. ANZFA gazetted Amendment No. 49 in Australia on 22 June 2000 and in a supplement to the New Zealand Gazette on 23 June 2000.

The New Zealand Food Standard 1996 and the material incorporated into it by reference, i.e. the AFSC up to and including Amendments 48 and 49 is available for inspection at the Ministry of Health, 133 Molesworth Street, Wellington.

Amendment No. 18 of the New Zealand Food Standard 1996 will come into force on the 28th day after the date of this notification.

President of the Electoral Commission Appointed

Pursuant to section 8 of the Electoral Act 1993, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Ronald Leslie Young, Chief District Court Judge

to be the President of the Electoral Commission for a term of 3 years on and from the date hereof.

District Courts Act 1947

Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 7 of the Family Courts Act 1980, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

John Stewart Bisphan, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, and also to exercise the jurisdiction of the Family Courts, pursuant to section 7 of the Family Courts Act 1980, for a term of 2 years on and from the 19th day of July 2000.
