Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Ronald James Gilbert, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction in New Zealand, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, for a term of two years on and from the 24th day of June 2000.

Notice of Granting an International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87N (4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 29 March 2000, I give notice that, having received an application from Air Pacific Limited of Fiji, I have granted that airline an international air service licence to carry on a scheduled international air service in both directions from points in Fiji, optionally via one point in the South Pacific Islands to Auckland, Wellington and/or Christchurch.

The Minister of Transport proposes to make ordinary rules in the following CAR Part—

Part 47—Registration and Marking (of aircraft)

—pursuant to section 29 (b) (i) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990.

The submission close-off date for the proposed amendments is 28 July 2000.

Copies of the Notice of Proposed Rule Making (NPRM 00-1) are available for viewing at: Aviation House, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt and on application to the Docket Clerk, P.O. Box 31-441, Lower Hutt 6315.
