Appointment of Temporary Commissioner for Awarua School

Pursuant to section 109 (3) of the Education Act 1989, and section 12 of the Interpretation Act 1999, and a power delegated to me due to the intended temporary absence of the commissioner, I, Kathy Phillips, Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, hereby:

(a) Terminate the appointment of Frank Leadley as commissioner of Awarua School as from 27 May 2000.

(b) Appoint Derek Birt as commissioner of Awarua School as from 27 May 2000.

(c) Terminate the appointment of Derek Birt as commissioner as from 4 August 2000.

(d) Reappoint Frank Leadley as commissioner as from 4 August 2000.

Dissolution of Board of Trustees and Appointment of Commissioner at Donnelly’s Crossing School

Pursuant to section 106 (1) (aa) of the Education Act 1989, for the reason that so many casual vacancies have arisen that there is no longer any member of the board who is eligible to preside at meetings of the board, I hereby dissolve the Donnelly’s Crossing School Board of Trustees and appoint Ian Bloore as commissioner to act in its place.

This will take effect on Friday, the 19th day of May 2000.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 16 September 1998, which was granted under those regulations to Lynette Cooper in respect of Pakowhai Kohanga Reo (55305), situated at Pakowhai Marae, Frasertown, Wairoa.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 27 August 1998, which was granted under those regulations to Bernadette Raichle in respect of Awhina Day Nursery (55330), situated at 18 Te Aute Road, Havelock North, Hawke’s Bay.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 (1) of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 4 March 1999, which was granted under those regulations to Tracy Morrison in respect of Coastlands Playcentre (40106), situated at Meadowvale Crescent, Coastlands, Whakatane.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

Longburn Adventist College, Longburn.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 15th day of May 2000.

A copy of the supplementary integration agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 116 Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.
