Notice of Amendment to the Ministerial Direction to the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology (New Zealand Science and Technology Post-Doctoral Fellowships Scheme) Notice 1999 Published in the New Zealand Gazette on 18 November 1999
This Notice of Amendment is issued pursuant to section 8A (2) of the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology Act 1990.
It amends the Ministerial Direction to the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology (New Zealand Science and Technology Post-Doctoral Fellowships Scheme) Notice 1999 published in the New Zealand Gazette on 18 November 1999, No. 173, page 4102 (“the Original Post Doc Notice”).
The Original Post Doc remains in full force and effect.
Government policy: Genetic Modification Moratorium
Government will be negotiating a voluntary moratorium on all applications for release and (with limited exceptions) field testing of genetically modified organisms (“the moratorium”).
Annex 1 contains the terms of the moratorium.
It is Government policy that all publicly funded research must comply with the terms of the moratorium.
I hereby direct the Foundation that; from the date of this Notice, all existing and new contracts that:
(a) are funded from Vote RS&T; and
(b) the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology enters into pursuant to the Original Post Doc Notice;
must require the provider to comply with the terms and process of the moratorium.

This Notice of Amendment is issued pursuant to section 8A (2) of the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology Act 1990.
It amends the Ministerial Direction to the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology (New Economy Research Fund) Notice 1999 published in the New Zealand Gazette on 18 November 1999, No. 173, page 4103 (“the Original NERF Notice”).
The Original NERF Notice remains in full force and effect.
Government policy: Genetic Modification Moratorium

This Notice of Amendment is issued pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Foundation for Research, Science and Technology Act 1990.
It amends the Government’s Policies and Procedures for its Research, Science and Technology Investments: “Blueprint for Change” published in a supplement to the New Zealand Gazette on 4 June 1999, No. 65, page 1499 (“the Original Notice”).
The Original Notice remains in full force and effect.
Government policy: Genetic Modification Moratorium
Government will be negotiating a voluntary moratorium on all applications for release and (with limited exceptions) field testing of genetically modified organisms (“the moratorium”).

must require the provider of the research, science and technology outputs to comply with the terms and process of the moratorium.
