Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle
Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 31st day of March 2000 at the District Court at Hamilton, Stephen Vance Petley of 32 Main Road, Tirau, was convicted and fined $900.00, Court costs $130.00, and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver’s licence indefinitely from 31 March 2000, following his conviction on 31 March 2000 for an offence of driving with excess breath alcohol, and in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge A. N. MacLean has ordered that a Subaru Legacy motor vehicle, registration No. XT 1038 owned by the above-mentioned defendant, Stephen Vance Petley, be forfeited to Her Majesty, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Hamilton, or a Bailiff of the District Court, Hamilton, by 4.00 p.m. on the 31st day of March 2000.

Nelson Polytechnic: Change of Name

Pursuant to section 162 (5) of the Education Act 1989, and following a recommendation from the Council of Nelson Polytechnic, I hereby change the name of that institution to Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology.

This notice shall come into force on 15 May 2000.

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to Regulation 12 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1998, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 6 April 2000, which was granted under those regulations to Valerie Barry in respect to Cottontails Educare Centre (52536), situated at 156 Manchester Street, Feilding.

The centre has ceased to operate due to disestablishment of early childhood centre.
