Notice of Extension of Public Ruling

This is a notice of extension of a public ruling made under section 91DD of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

Public Ruling No. 97/10 entitled “Importers and G.S.T. input tax deductions” was signed on 22 October 1997 and notice of its making appeared in the New Zealand Gazette of 30 October 1997. A copy of the ruling appeared in Inland Revenue’s Tax Information Bulletin Vol. 9, No. 11 of November 1997.

Public ruling No. 97/10 originally applied to claims for input tax deductions on G.S.T. levied by the New Zealand Customs Service on goods imported into New Zealand between 1 April 1997 and 31 March 2000. The ruling now applies to claims for input tax deductions between 1 April 2000 and 31 March 2005.

Revocation of a Gazette Notice Authorising the Exchange of Part of a Reserve for Other Land and Issue of a Replacement Notice
Rotorua Lakefront Recreation Reserve—War Memorial Park
Pursuant to section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, Susan Anne Campbell, Community Relations Manager for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy, of the Department of Conservation, acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Conservation, hereby revokes the notice authorising the exchange, pursuant to section 15 of the Reserves Act, of part of a recreation reserve for other land, dated the 27 February 1998 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 5 March 1998, No. 34, page 839, and hereby issues the following notice in its place.
Authorising the Exchange of Parts of a Recreation Reserve for Other Land
Rotorua Lakefront Recreation Reserve—War Memorial Park
Pursuant to section 15 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager for the Bay of Plenty Conservancy of the Department of Conservation hereby authorises the exchange of those parts of the recreation reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.
