Composite Bag Areas A, B, C, D means collectively, NO MORE than 15 waterfowl PER PERSON (being Mallard, Grey, Shoveler, Paradise Shelduck, Pukeko, and Black Swan) can be taken—EXCEPT THAT WITHIN THE TOTAL OF 15, where a specific bag limit is stated, that is the maximum allowed for that species.

Definition of Areas

Area A: Wairarapa/Bush. East of main Ruahine and Tararua/Rimutaka ranges, apart from Area C.

Area B: Rangitikei/Northern Manawatu. West of main Ruahine and Tararua/Rimutaka ranges, apart from Area D.

Area C: South Wairarapa. East of the Rimutaka Range and south of the following boundary: From the summit of the Rimutaka Hill Road east along SH2 to Featherston, east along SH53 to the junction with Kahutara Road, and the Martinborough-Lake Ferry Road to Lake Ferry.

Area D: Manawatu/Wellington. South and west of Tangimoana, Bailey, Wilson and Mingaroa Roads, to Halcombe and along the railway line from Halcombe, east to the Manawatu Gorge and then along the main divide of the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges.

Hours of Shooting

6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., except Canada Goose.

Decoy Limit

No limit.
