Waiver of Restrictions on Baiting, and Methods of Taking Game Baiting for Waterfowl
Persons ^4 may hunt or kill game of the family Anatidae (waterfowl) during the open season for game in all Fish and Game Regions where food has been cast, thrown, placed or planted, either during the current open season for game, the thirty (30) days immediately prior to the season or any other time during the year.
Magazine Shotguns
Persons ^5 may hunt or kill game birds, as specified, in all Fish and Game Regions except Auckland Waikato, with any shotgun of a calibre 12 gauge or less having a magazine of any type not adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding more than one shell.
Magazine Shotguns—Auckland Waikato Region—Restricted Capacity
(a) Three shot
From 6 May 2000 and for the duration of the 2000/2001 game season, persons ^6 may hunt or kill all game birds within the Auckland Waikato Fish and Game Region with any shotgun of a calibre 12 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than two shells.
b) Five shot—Canada goose only
Persons ^7 may hunt or kill Canada geese within the Auckland/Waikato Fish and Game region with any shotgun of a calibre 10 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than four shells, during the following periods:
6.30 p.m. 15 May 2000 to 6.30 p.m. 21 May 2000
6.30 p.m. 11 June 2000 to 6.30 p.m. 20 June 2000
Camouflaged Rowboats
Persons ^8 may hunt or kill game within the following Fish and Game Regions, from unmoored camouflaged rowboats, subject to the conditions specified below.

Otago
Southland
Taranaki
West Coast
Eastern—excluding 6 and 7 May 2000
Wellington—excluding 6 and 7 May 2000
Central South Island—excluding 6 and 7 May 2000
North Canterbury—excluding 6 to 14 May 2000
Hawke’s Bay—excluding 6 to 14 May 2000
