The Legal Services Agency Establishment Committee, on behalf of the Legal Services Agency, gives notice that it has established the interim listing criteria for considering applications to be Listed Providers under the Legal Services Act 2000:

The interim listing criteria will be applied to all applications to be Listed Providers until further notice.

Chiropractors (Fees) Amendment Notice 2000
This is a regulation for the purposes of the Regulations (Disallowance) Act 1989.
Notice

Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Chiropractors (Fees) Amendment Notice 2000 and shall come into force on 1 January 2001.

Fees—Pursuant to section 41A of the Chiropractors Act 1982 (“the Act”), the Chiropractic Board sets the following fees payable to the board specified in the attached Schedule.

Fees inclusive of Goods and Services Tax—The fees are inclusive of Good and Services Tax.

Revocation—This notice revokes the Notices of Prescribed Fees for Matters relating to the Chiropractors Act 1982, 3 February 2000 and 17 August 2000.

Application for registration under section 16 of the Act ... $550.00
Annual practising certificate fee under section 25 of the Act ... $1100.00
Certificate of registration under section 19 of the Act ... $30.00
Certificate of temporary registration under section 23 of the Act ... $300.00
Copy of any certificate ... $30.00
Supplying to a chiropractor any document for the purpose of seeking registration overseas ... $50.00

Examination set or recognised by the board under section 14 of the Act ... $700.00
Examination resit fee for 1 paper only set or recognised by the board under section 14 of the Act ... $250.00
Key to Annotations:
- The fee is reduced to $400.00 for persons registered in the current APC year on or after 1 October 2000.
- The board may grant a refund of $700.00 to registered chiropractors who have worked as a locum in New Zealand for a period of less than 3 calendar months in the current APC year.
This can be claimed by providing evidence of time employed to the secretary of the board at the end of the period worked and submitting their annual licence to the secretary for cancellation.

Notification of Approval of the Alteration to the Sports Betting Rules—Effective ex November 2000
Pursuant to the Racing Act 1971, and its subsequent amendments on 15 December 1995, the New Zealand Racing Industry Board on 16 November 2000, resolved to approve the alterations to the ‘Conditions Applicable to Fixed-Odds Sports Betting’ namely, clauses 14.3 to 14.6 and the introduction of ‘Sport Specific’ rules 15.1 to 15.13 as set out below:

14.3 Setting the Odds

Add as a new paragraph the following:
(b) The term ‘quote others’ is used to advise customers that an odds quote can be obtained for any contestant not already listed as a contestant in a particular betting option.
14.6 Time of Placement of Fixed-Odds Bets

Add the following paragraphs:
(b) If, for any reason, a bet is inadvertently accepted by the Board and at the time the bet was placed, the race or event was resolved or at a stage where the client could have had an indication of the outcome, those bets will be declared void and refunded.
(c) Bets placed with the Board through the Internet will be generally accepted up until the official start time of an event.
