19 OCTOBER NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE 3739

  1. Eligibility for Childcare Subsidy—(1) Clause 8 (3) is amended by adding the following paragraph:

“(c) where the person (being the applicant) is the principal caregiver of a child—

(i) for whom a child disability allowance is payable; or

(ii) who is in hospital (not being the child for whom the subsidy is sought).”

(2) Clause 8 (6) (b) of the programme is revoked.

Explanatory Note:
This note is not part of the Amendment, but is intended to explain its general effect.

This Amendment increases the maximum hours that can be claimed for a childcare subsidy and for an OSCAR subsidy during the school holidays from 30 to 37 hours a week, with effect from 1 February 2001 until 30 June 2001. It also corrects a drafting error in the original programme.
