Final Determination of Dumping Investigation: Plasterboard From Thailand

Pursuant to section 13 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 (“the Act”), I hereby give notice that I have made a determination that, in relation to the importation or intended importation of the goods specified in the First Schedule to this notice (“the subject goods”)—

(a) The subject goods are being dumped; and

(b) By reason thereof, material injury to the New Zealand industry is being threatened.

Notice is also hereby given that I have deferred giving notice of the imposition of anti-dumping duties to allow interested parties to make submissions on the type and rate or amount of duty.

In accordance with section 17 (1) of the Act, when I give notice of the imposition of anti-dumping duty, such duty will apply from the day after the date of this notice.

Thailand

Description of Goods
Standard plasterboard with dimensions of a nominal thickness from, but not including 6mm, and up to, but not including 12mm, of any width or length (other than those dimensions already subject to anti-dumping duty).

The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 6809.11.00 10D of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.
