6.2 No person shall fish with sprat in the Clutha River upstream of the Roxburgh Township Bridge.
6.3 Notwithstanding the above all methods are permissible in the following waters:
a) Clutha River, from Luggate Bridge to Lake Dunstan:
b) Lake Hayes and all streams flowing into or out of:
c) Lake Hawea:
d) Lake Johnson:
e) Lake Wakatipu:
f) Kawarau River:
6.4 All methods are permissible in all other waters within the region other than 6.1 and 6.2.
- RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF BOATS
7.1 No person shall fish from, or tow any lure from, any mechanically propelled boat on, Lake Dispute, Lake Hayes, Lake Johnson, Moke Lake or Reid Lake.
7.2 No person shall fish from a boat on Lake Kirkpatrick.
7.3 Subject to subclause (4) of this clause, no person shall troll from a mechanically propelled boat within 100 metres of any person fishing from the shore.
7.4 No person in fishing for sports fish shall troll from any boat in any river or stream except the Taieri River downstream from Henley Ferry Bridge, and the Clutha River downstream from Balclutha.
7.5 No licence holder shall fish for trout from any boat, canoe, pontoon, or any flotation device in the following waters:
a) Waters reserved for artificial fly fishing flowing into Lake Wakatipu.
b) The section of water known as Deans Bank defined in 2.3.
c) The Hunter and Young Rivers.
- DAILY LIMIT BAG
8.1 Notwithstanding anything contained in First Schedule, except in the case of perch for which there is no daily limit and trout from Lake Onslow, McKellar and Sylvan for which there is no bag limit, no person shall on any one day take and kill or be in possession of more than the prescribed daily limit from the following specified waters.
8.2 Catch and release zones: (Daily limit: Nil).
