e) any lure treated with any medicinal preparation other than a substance used solely to give buoyancy to an artificial fly.
f) any downrigger or paravane;
g) any gaff or landing hook;
h) any unsportsman like device or gear;
i) any electric fishing gear except for the purposes of duly authorised scientific investigations or data collection;
j) any preparation to attract fish
k) any narcotic, poisonous substance or liquid injurious to fish;
l) any stroke hauling or foul hooking gear.
m) any spear, spear gun or pointed missile.

  1. USE OF BOATS
    7.1 Anglers trolling from boats must stay at least 50 metres from any anglers fishing from the shore.

  2. DAILY BAG LIMITS
    8.1 All Rivers and Streams
    No Licence holder shall on any one day kill more than two sportsfish.

8.2 All Lakes and Reservoirs
No Licence holder shall on any one day kill more than three sportsfish.

  1. FISH LENGTH
    9.1 The minimum length for trout 300 mm
    9.2 The minimum length for other sportsfish No limit

  1. OPEN SEASON

All lakes in region all year
Hikutaia River downstream from the ford all year
on the Whangamata Track
Mangaotaki River downstream from the lower all year
bridge on the Mangaotaki Road (Pio Pio)
Mangawhio River between the Waikato River all year
and the Falls
Marokopa River downstream from its confluence
