Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Kamo Christian College, Whangarei (Attendance Dues) Notice 1999

Pursuant to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues at Kamo Christian College, Whangarei.

N o t i c e

  1. This notice shall be cited as the Kamo Christian College, Whangarei (Attendance Dues) Notice 1999.

  2. The proprietor of the above-named school may enter into an agreement with parents or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the above-named school requiring them to pay attendance dues.

  3. The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall be a maximum of $739.00 (exclusive of G.S.T.) per annum, per pupil until 31 December 2001 (at which time the level of the due will be reviewed).

  4. Attendance dues received by the proprietor shall be used for the purposes of paying for such improvements to, or for such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated facilities of the above-mentioned integrated school as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education, pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other charges associated with any of the land and buildings that constitute the integrated school.

  1. This is a notice of a public ruling made under section 91D of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

  2. Public ruling No. 99/6 entitled “Car parks provided by employers – fringe benefit tax exemption” will appear in Inland Revenue’s Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 11, No. 8 of September 1999.

  3. A copy of the ruling may be obtained by writing to the Assistant General Manager (Adjudication & Rulings), National Office, Inland Revenue, P.O. Box 2198, Wellington.

Notice of Product Ruling

  1. This is a notice of a product ruling made under section 91D of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

  2. Product ruling No. 99/8 was issued on 17 June 1999. It relates to an income protection indemnity value contract, and various sections of the Income Tax Act 1994. It will appear in Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 11, No. 7 of August 1999.

Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977

Permission to Conduct Within New Zealand a Lottery Promoted Outside New Zealand

Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Jack Elder, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit Berlei Pty Limited, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme, to promote the sale of the Maggie T Lingerie.

Conditions

The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:

(1) Berlei Pty Limited shall not conduct the sales promotion scheme in New Zealand after 1 October 1999;

(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the New Zealand Herald on 4 October 1999;

Winners will be notified by certified mail;

(3) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;

(4) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.

Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Jack Elder, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit Kleins Franchising Pty Limited, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme, to promote the sale of the companies 25% discount membership card.

(1) Kleins Franchising Pty Limited shall not conduct the sales promotion scheme in New Zealand after 1 May 2000;

(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the New Zealand Sunday Star Times on 28 May 2000;
