Fisheries (Northland Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1999 (No. 1) (No. F126)
Pursuant to section 369 (5) of the Fisheries Act 1996, the Minister of Fisheries hereby makes the following notice:
N o t i c e

Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Northland Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1999 (No. 1).

Interpretation—In this notice, “Northland scallop fishery” has the meaning ascribed to it in section 2 of the Fisheries Act 1996.

Northland Scallop Season—The Northland Scallop Fishery season for the 1999–2000 fishing year will commence the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette and end with the close of the 14th day of February 2000.

Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 3) 1999 (No. F127)
Pursuant to section 28w (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister for Food, Fibre, Biosecurity and Border Control, after consultation with the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board and the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission and after having regard to the provisions of section 28w (5) of the Fisheries Act 1983, hereby gives the following notice:

Title and commencement—
(a) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 3) 1999.
(b) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette and shall expire on the 31st day of March 2000.
Interpretation—In this notice, “Northland scallop fishery” has the meaning ascribed to it in section 2 of the Fisheries Act 1996.
- Exemption to quota aggregation limit—(1) As from the date that this notice comes into effect, the Northland Scallop Enhancement Company Limited is permitted to hold quota in excess of the 20 percent aggregation limit for the Northland Scallop Fishery as provided in section 28w (1) of the Fisheries Act 1983, up to an aggregation limit of 95 percent.
(2) As from the date that this notice comes into effect, the Directors of the Northland Scallop Enhancement Company Limited are permitted to hold quota and interest in quota in excess of the 20 percent aggregation limit for the Northland Scallop Fishery as provided in section 28w (1) of the Fisheries Act 1983, up to a limit of 95 percent.
