Notes: (1) The coverage area is defined by area enclosed by a contour of field strengths as defined in Section 1.2 of ITU-R Rec BS 412-7. For the purposes of this Reference Standard the minimum field strength is 66 dBμV/m, and the field strength of 74 dBμV/m is applicable where the coverage area has a predominance of buildings exceeding two storeys high.

(2) The term ‘coverage area’ as defined in this Reference Standard is not a ‘receive coverage area’ as defined in section 49 (1) (c) (ii) of the Radiocommunications Act 1989.
