Land Acquired for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes—State Highway No. 2, Makaretu River

Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Kerry John Twydle, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into:

(a) The land firstly described in the Schedule to this notice is acquired for granting as alternative compensation and vested in the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council;

(b) The land secondly described in the Schedule to this notice is acquired for soil conservation and river control purposes and vested in the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council.

Land Acquired for Stopbank, for Soil Conservation and River Management Purposes in South Wairarapa District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Kerry John Twydle, Land Information New Zealand:

(a) Declares that, pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the First Schedule is acquired for stopbank, soil conservation and river management purposes and vested in the Wellington Regional Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

(b) Declares that, pursuant to sections 20 and 50 (1) for the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the Second Schedule is acquired for stopbank, for soil conservation and river management purposes by the Wellington Regional Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
