These rates are lower than the maximum rates provided for in legislation.
For the purpose of calculating levies payable, no property shall be valued at more than $10,000 per hectare.
Land occupiers will be invoiced by the Animal Health Board for levies payable on or after 8 February 1999.
The due date for payment of levies is 31 March 1999.

Airworthiness Directives
Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst – Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directive in respect of an aeronautical product:

This airworthiness directive shall come into force on 28 January 1999.

Summary of Exemptions granted by the Director of Civil Aviation
Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of a summary of an exemption, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

99/EXE/47 – CAR 91. Appendix A, paragraph A.15 (j) (2)
On 14 January 1999. To Ansett New Zealand Limited, being the operator of BAE 146 type aircraft, from the requirement in Part 91 Appendix A, paragraph A.15 (j) (2) that each Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) required to be installed in each aircraft by Civil Aviation Rule 91.529, shall be replaced with an ELT meeting the requirements of TSO C91a when the ELT becomes unserviceable, this being one of the requirements prescribed by Civil Aviation Rules 91.501 (1) and (2).
The exemption only applies in respect of BAE 146 type aircraft currently operated by Ansett New Zealand Limited with a serviceable TSO C91 ELT installed.
This exemption shall apply until 31 December 1999.
Notice of the grant, withdrawal or denial of exemptions with provisos are published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL). For the provisos, refer to issue dated 28 January 1999. The CARRIL is available on the CAA website www.caa.govt.nz.
Exemption files may also be viewed on prior request to the Registrar at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority, 1 Market Grove (P.O. Box 31-441), Lower Hutt.
